After a wet start to the week, the forecast is settling down as typical summer weather returns to south Louisiana.
Mostly sunny skies on Friday with only an outside shot for a shower or two in the afternoon, but for the most part we'll be hot and dry across the region.
Temperatures will be in the low 90s, with the heat index pushing into the triple digits, which is very typical for this time of year.
Saturday looks a little wetter with scattered showers moving through the area in the afternoon, rain chances will sit around 40-50%.
When Sunday arrives, however, the pattern will return to normal and a quiet weather pattern will return to Acadiana.
