The last few days the weather has been pretty close to perfect, and that looks like the case as we move into the weekend.
Plenty of sunshine over the next several days with temperatures sitting in the upper 70s through the afternoon and setting the stage for a clear, cool night.
Lows are expected to drop down into the low 50s by Saturday morning making it a very chilly start to a wonderful weekend.
There's still some signs that the tropics will be active next week with a depression possible in the southern Gulf of Mexico, which looks like it will fester into next week.
Louisiana is currently protected by entrenched dry air which will likely keep any tropical activity to our south, but depending on how the tropics take shape we may feel some influence from a system.
Which means that the confidence in next week's forecast is a little lower than normal, but we should get a better idea over the weekend.
