MORGAN CITY, La. - An attempted murder suspect has turned himself in to Morgan City Police, officials say.
On December 6, 2020, at 12:10 A.M., the Morgan City Police Department responded to shots fired complaint on Fifth Street. Once on the scene, responding officers located an individual who was suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a spokesperson for the Department. The victim has since been released from the hospital.
During the investigation, investigators developed Tyson Jeffery James Celestine, 32, as a suspect.
An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Celestine for the following charges:
Attempted second degree murder
Carrying of firearm by a convicted felon
Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities
