BALDWIN, La. — The Baldwin Police Department say a train conductor was injured by a stray bullet while working on railroad tracks in an apparent drive-by shooting on Tuesday.
BPD say that the shooting took place around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday at Rosebud Street and Railroad Avenue.
According to police, the train conductor was working on the tracks when he heard gun shots and ran for cover when he was hit by a stray bullet in the leg.

BPD say that a small SUV and a maroon, late model Toyota Camry both with tinted windows were involved in the drive-by shooting and fled the scene.
Investigators found casings from an AK-47 and 9 mm pistol at the scene.
The BPD are asking for the public's assistance in finding the suspects by calling 337-923-4845.
