The St. Mary Community Action Agency is organizing a fundraiser for Hurricane Laura victims in Calcasieu, Cameron and Allen Parishes.

CAA says that these locations were chosen as they are a part of the Community Action Agency service area.

They are requesting the following items

  • Water
  • Cleaning supplies, including Clorox, Lysol, gloves, mops, etc
  • Toiletries (toothburhs, tooth paste, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, lip balm, etc)
  • Non perishable food items
  • Gift cards and monetary donations

Items can be dropped off at CAA's central office located at 1407 Barrow Street in Franklin until September 18 2020.
CAA says they will transport items by truck to the areas in need.

Those with any questions on the relief efforts can call the St. Mary Community Action Agency at 337.828.5703
