A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday to celebrate the completion of Isaiah's Houses in Franklin.
The St. Mary Community Action Agency says that after years of overhauling, the two renovations are complete.
The move-in-ready residences located on Hogan Lane in Franklin were upgraded with added living space, concrete walking areas and brand new skirting.
The St. Mary CAA says that one of the most significant issues concerning St. Mary Parish residents is adequate and quality housing. Isaiah's Houses, they say, are a small step in the right direction to addressing those housing concerns.
"I am so excited that deserving families and individuals will have their own home," CEO Almetra J. Franklin said. "We are grateful to be able to assist them in the process of becoming independent, financially stable, and productive members of the St. Mary Parish community."
