A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with a Sunday shooting in Morgan City.
Police say that Deandre Paul Jackson was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a shooting in the area of Mallard Street in the Brownell Homes subdivision that occurred Sunday, September 22, 2019. Jackson was arrested on Principal to Attempted First Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Armed Robbery with Use of a Firearm.
One victim was shot and transported to an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police say that victim was shot during an armed robbery. Investigators developed Jackson as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
On Tuesday September 24, Jackson was located at a business on U.S. Highway 90 and was arrested with the assistance of Patterson Police Department. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
