Patterson man accused of home invasion, armed robbery

ST. MARY PARISH, La. - A 32-year-old Patterson man is accused of armed robbery and home invasion.

On Wednesday, St. Mary Parish deputies responded to an address near Zenor Road and Highway 90 in reference to an armed robbery, according to a spokesperson for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Three men entered a home and robbed the residents at gun point.

Through the investigation, Tyson Celestine was developed as one of the suspects. Detectives obtained a search warrant for his residence and upon executing the warrant, a pound of marijuana was found, stated the spokesperson.

Tyson Jeffrey James Celestine was arrested on December 30, 2020, at 1:45 pm for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and on a warrant for home invasion and armed robbery.

Celestine was transported to the St. Mary Parish Jail for booking. Bail has been set at $550,000.
