A 73-year-old New Iberia man is dead following a motorcycle crash Wednesday morning in St. Mary Parish

Louisiana State Police say that crash happened at around 6:30 a.m. on August 19. Troopers were notified of the single-vehicle crash on the north frontage road of U.S. Highway 90 east of Louisiana Highway 668 in St. Mary Parish. The crash took the life of 73-year-old Duel E. Judice of New Iberia.

State Police say Judice was driving his motorcycle westbound on the north frontage road (Big John Rd) of US 90 when, for unknown reasons, he exited the roadway to the left. Judice was ejected from the motorcycle after striking a culvert.

Judice, who was wearing a DOT approved helmet at the time of the crash, died at the scene. Impairment is not suspected.

This crash remains under investigation.
