The Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana and Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel announced today that Mr. Lester's Steakhouse will re-open to the public next month.

The restaurant will open November 5, 2020, at 5:00 p.m., and plans are that it will operate weekly on Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. by reservation only.

Guests can expect changes due to COVID-19 such as: capacity limitations which will result in limited reservations, enhanced sanitation procedures, and the reduction of large groups or gatherings to no more than 10 persons. Guests must be 21 to enter hotel, gaming, restaurants, and entertainment areas.

Here's how the process will work:
Upon arrival to Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel, guests will enter the facility either through the main entrance on the larger side of the property or through the hotel. All team members and guests will be required to submit to a non-invasive temperature check to enter the facility. Guests will be provided with disposable face masks, gloves, and alcohol wipes for use while visiting the property. Face masks are required for entry and must be worn properly at all times except while actively eating, drinking, or smoking.

“We cannot be more thrilled to welcome our valuable guests and team members back to Mr. Lester’s Steakhouse, Acadiana premier steakhouse,” said Mike Howard, General Manager and CEO at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel. “While there are significant changes to the majority of our operations at this time, we have diligently worked to ensure that our guests will still enjoy the high level of service that they have grown accustomed to in a fun, friendly, and safe environment,” Howard continued.

Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel continues to engage in frequent enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures throughout the property and encourage frequent hand washing to ensure the safety of guests and team members. Additional hand sanitizing stations have been installed around the gaming floor and in high traffic areas around the facility. The Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana and Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel will closely monitor all available information including updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, State, and Tribal health authorities.
