With Hurricane Delta moving closer to the Louisiana coast, one city on the eastern side of the storm will have officers out patrolling.

Morgan City, being on the eastern side of St. Mary Parish, is in a better position when it comes to Hurricane Delta. While other portions of the parish have instated a curfew (see those here) Morgan City Police say there will be no curfew for them.

The Police Department will instead be providing extra patrols to keep residents, homes, and businesses safe while the storm passes.

Officials asks that residents stay off roadways if possible.
