Morgan City Police have arrested a local man on attempted murder and robbery charges after a Monday night incident.
Courtlin Michael Carter, 31, was booked Tuesday night on a warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Armed Robbery with a Firearm and Illegal use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities.
Police say the incident happened Monday on Bellanger Street. Detectives say that a person was robbed at gunpoint, and during the incident the robber fired the gun at the victim. Nobody was hurt. Police obtained a warrant for Carter for the incident.
