St. Mary Parish council on aging says they were given notice that they were to close on March 18 to April 13.
Because of this closure, they are giving more information on what is happening moving forward.
Because of the closure of site to seniors, Director Beverly Domengeaux says that seniors and other elderly people will still be feed and home delivery meal services are still happening. The physical site which are located in Morgan City, Patterson, and Franklin are closed.
Those will be for those who are registered. They are also making arrangements to feed those seniors who would travel to their sites in throughout St. Mary Parish for food.
The council on again will also continue to transport those who need to travel to doctors offices. Domengeaux asks that those needing to travel to a doctor bring confirmation of an appointment before requesting travel.
