St. Mary Parish has issued a mandatory evacuation for areas south of the intracoastal canal west of the Wax Lake outlet to the Iberia Parish line. Effective at noon on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
This includes areas of Cypremort Point and Burns Point.
A voluntary evacuation has been issued for the entire west side of the parish beginning at noon on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
This area is west of the Wax Lake outlet to the Iberia Parish line.
Due to COVID-19 no shelters of last resort will be available. Hanagriff say that if you do not feel safe please make arrangements to leave.
