CYPREMORT POINT, La. — Acadiana is getting a glimpse of how high the water got in St. Mary Parish in Hurricane Delta.
Don Meaux, a local resident in Cypremort Point, marked the height of Delta's surge, which came in at about 5 ft 4 in.
That is about 4 inches higher than the surges from Hurricane Lily in 2002, and Hurricane Barry in 2019.
