ST. MARY PARISH, La. - Highway 182 bridge crossing the Atchafalaya River is currently closed to traffic until Wednesday.
Berwick Police Department is investigating damage from a crash where the height restriction barrier was damaged.
Louisiana DOTD is on scene for repair and inspection.
Officials say the bridge will remain closed overnight on Tuesday and during the Wednesday morning commute. U.S. 90 will be the alternative route.
Expect delays during the morning commute as U.S. 90 is still reduced to one-lane traffic for repairs.
Drive with caution, officials add, and give yourself extra travel time.
