A Franklin man was arrested Thursday following an investigation by the Franklin Police Department into a complaint of child molestation.
Police Chief Morris Beverly says that 34-year-old Seth Dantin was arrested on September 3 after probable cause was developed in the case.
Arrest warrants were issued for Dantin on the charges of felony sexual battery and felony molestation of a juvenile.
Dantin was located and arrested by Franklin Police with the help of the Morgan City Police Department.
A bond for Dantin was set at $200,000. According to the St. Mary Parish arrest reports, Dantin was released to the custody of another agency. He remains incarcerated.
An investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
