Firefighters responded Thursday night to a fire at the Franklin Police Department.
According to police, smoke was detected shortly before 7 p.m. and a fire was located in the file area of the building. Officers with the Franklin Police Department attempted to extinguish the fire and the city's fire department was contacted for assistance.
Firefighters arrived on scene and successfully extinguished the fire. No one was injured and police say the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Along with the Franklin Fire Department, crews from Centerville, Baldwin, and Patterson assisted with the fire.
