Conditions are calm in Berwick and Morgan City as Hurricane Delta makes its way towards the Louisiana coast.

KATC's Abby Breidenbach was LIVE on the sea wall which protects the two cities from the Atchafalaya's rising waters.

She gave us an idea of some of the conditions this morning.

Preparations have been underway in the area since the beginning of the week when Delta's path was originally forecast to make landfall in the parish.

Some of those preps included the closing of flood gates along the river.

Several residents have decided to stay put as government officials have not issued any mandatory or voluntary evacuations for cities in the eastern side of the parish.

There are currently no curfews in place. Check updates, here.

A voluntary evacuation has been issued for residents on the west side of St. Mary Parish from the Wax Lake outlet to the Iberia Parish line.

And a Mandatory evacuation order was issued Wednesday for those residents south of the Intracoastal Waterway including Cypremort Point and Burns Point.

See more evacuation orders, here.
