UPDATE: This boil order has been rescinded. State and local officials say the water has been tested and is safe to drink.
The water in St. Martinville will be shut off tonight while needed repairs are done.
The shutoff will be city-wide and will begin at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 and will last about two hours, city officials say.
Once the water is restored, the entire city will be under a boil advisory until further notice.
