Two arrested on multiple drug charges in Breaux Bridge

Two Breaux Bridge residents were arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charge following reports of suspected drug activity, Sheriff Becket Breaux says.

A search warrant was executed in the 900 block of West Pain Street in Breaux Bridge, and located suspected marijuana, suspected MDMA, U.S. currency, packaging material, a 12-gauge Remington 870 Tactical Shotgun, and more. The residence was also located within a posted drug-free zone.

Deputies arrested 30-year-old Tonesha Celestine and 28-year-old Tommy Nedie on multiple charges, including Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS, Violation of CDS Law, Drug Free Zone, Use of CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years old, and Criminal Conspiracy to Distribute CDS.

The two were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correction Center. No bond has yet been set.
