Donations are being accepted for this years toy drive by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office.
Those donations, which should be new and unused toys, will be accepted until Friday, December 13, 2019. Those looking to donate can do so at the Sheriff's Office main office, public safety complex and Landmark of Acadiana in Cade.
"It helps those people in our community who may be going through a rough time, and without this they my not have anything for their kids, so it's a way for them to give back to the community in a sense," Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Ginny Higgins said.
The toys will be given to less fortunate children in the parish. Those wishing to apply for assistance should do so by Friday, December 6, 2019.
