Breaux Bridge double shooting suspect turns himself in

UPDATE: Breaux Bridge Police say the suspect wanted in a double shooting has turned himself in.

Earlier on Wednesday, Police in Breaux Bridge released the identity of the suspect wanted in connection with double shooting on Tuesday.

The shooting, which occurred on Landry Street on September 3, stemmed from an altercation where one person pulled a gun and shot two other people. The two victims were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Dylan Jevon John of Breaux Bridge.

John was wanted on the charges listed below:

  • 2 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder
  • Illegal use of Dangerous Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault with Firearm
  • Illegal Carrying of Weapon
