A Breaux Bridge man was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash on LA 31.

State Police Troop I says that 57-year-old Bryan Hebert was killed when his vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned.

The incident occurred around 8:30 pm on Thursday, July 18 on LA 31 near Brown Drive.

An investigation by troopers revealed that Hebert was traveling north on LA 31 when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway while entering a left curve. Troopers say Hebert over-corrected to the left and crossed into the southbound lane where his vehicle began to roll over.

Hebert was unrestrained at the time of the crash and received fatal injuries, according to troopers. He was pronounced dead by the St. Martin Parish Coroner's Office.

Troopers say that impairment is unknown at this time. A toxicology report is pending.

The crash remains under investigation.
