A St. Martinville man has been arrested and booked on rape charges following an investigation into a report of alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux says that 27-year-old Tyler Dauphinet was arrested on Thursday, November 19.
An investigation into the allegations began on October 22.
On Thursday morning, a warrant was executed and Sheriff Breaux says that Dauphinet was arrested and booked on the following charges:
- 3 Counts-LA. R.S. 14:43-3rd Degree Rape-(Felony)
- 2 Counts-LA. R.S. 14:81.2-Molestation of a Juvenile-(Felony)
Dauphinet was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
No bond had been set.
