St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office installs new firearms training simulator

We would like to invite you to come on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. to view our new state of the art Firearms Training Simulator at the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Shooting Range located at 1381 Francois Road, St. Martinville, LA. We are very excited about this new training tool and our Training Lt. will be demonstrating the many uses of the simulator for you. We will also offer you the opportunity to try it so that you can also experience what it has to offer.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office shooting range now has a new state of the art firearms training simulator.

The system will be used to train deputies during their in-service and for specialized training.

It consists of five screens set up in a 300 degree format.

"It enables us to do real life scenarios with our deputies," said Major Ginny Higgins, spokesperson for St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office. "One of the positive aspects of it is that it can pretty much mimic any situation they may encounter."
