ST. MARTINVILLE, La. — The St. Martin Parish School District have announced that its Class of 2020 high school seniors will graduate on Friday, June 5 at 6 p.m. at each respective school's stadium.

Superintendent Al Blanchard said that all three high schools in St. Martin Parish will hold outdoor graduation ceremonies while practicing social distancing.

Those schools are Breaux Bridge High School, Cecilia High School and St. Martinville High School.

Each graduating senior student will have two tickets to give to guests that they wish to invite.

Blanchard said that holding the ceremonies in the school's stadiums will allow for spectators to be seated and spaced 10 feet apart in the stands. The stadium's seating capacity with this distancing allows for two guests per graduating senor.

Blanchard also said that the ceremonies will be live streamed for friends and family members who cannot attend.

He said details on how to watch the streamed ceremonies will come from each school soon.

And in case of inclement weather, the schools' alternate plan is to hold the ceremonies on Saturday, June 6 at 9 a.m.
