UPDATE: Roadway has been opened in both directions. Officials have confirmed that all residents were evacuated safely.

Multiple agencies responded to a fire in St. Martin Parish.
Breaux Bridge Police, Breaux Bridge Fire, Cecilia Fire, and St Martin Parish Fire were on the scene of an apartment fire at the intersection of Grand Point Avenue and 8th Street.
Grand Point Avenue right before Hebert's Grocery and Poydras are closed at this time.
KATC was also on the scene.
