A local man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that happened Saturday in St. Martinville.
Paul Henery Demouchet Jr., 23, was booked with attempted second-degree murder. He was arrested by St. Martinville Police officers this afternoon; police say he attempted to flee but was apprehended.
Demouchet is accused of stabbing another man on Saturday in the 800 block of South Main Street. The man was stabbed several times in the upper back and head, police said.
