ST. MARTIN PARISH — UPDATE: All lanes are open on I-10 West at Mile Marker 119 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge). There is no congestion.

I-10 West at mile marker 119.5--between Butte La Rose and Henderson--is closed after an 18-wheeler hauling cars caught fire.
According to DOTD traffic cameras, traffic on the Basin Bridge is backed up towards the Atchafalaya River.
State police are on scene and say that the vehicle was not involved in a crash.
DOTD says that motorist traveling on I-10 West are being diverted to LA 415 North to US 190 West at Lodell.
No word yet on injuries or a timetable to clear the scene. Crews were working throughout the morning to remove the vehicle.
