BREAUX BRIDGE — The Super 8 in Breaux Bridge is in the process of accommodating 14 families who were affected by Hurricane Laura. One woman who's been there for roughly two weeks says she and her family have lost Everything.

"Everything was gone. I don't know how else to put it. It was gone," said Hurricane Laura evacuee Darla Campbell.

Darla Campbell evacuated her home in Sulphur, LA, to Alabama. When she returned to her hometown, she found her city in ruins and saw no choice but to move forward.

"There's no going to be any power or electricity or running water without paying an arm and a leg," said Campbell.

As Darla and her family work to pick up the pieces, the generosity of those in Acadiana has been overwhelming.

"The church donated tremendously. Ms. Tracy, the supervisor, has made sure we've gotten Everything we needed."

Local organizations like Cajun Compassion and 2 Navy Veterans Foundation are just two of the many collecting donations and preparing meals for families needing a helping hand.

"Anything that you guys would like to donate, please feel free. We have lost Everything. We need Anything we can get to get back to the way we were."

For exact clothing sizes, you can contact Ms. Tracy at the Super 8 hotel (337) 332-1114.
