One family marked two milestone birthdays today in St. Martinville - using proper social distancing practices.
Ms. Pearly Bernard celebrated her 95th birthday, and her great-grandson, Je’Caryous Esther, celebrated his 5th.
The family celebrated with a drive-by parade, which included a fire truck. Ms. Bernard has five children, 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, her daughter Mary Williams tells us. She said her mother still does all of her own cooking and cleaning, and loves to work in her garden.
