A Breaux Bridge woman has been arrested, accused of stealing more than $400,000 from a local business where she was employed.
St. Martin Parish Deputies say that 44-year-old Casie Lynn Breaux was charged with theft over $400,000 following in connection with an alleged theft from the business where she was employed
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the business on June 24, 2019, in reference to that theft. During the the investigation, officials say they gathered information that indicated that Breaux had stolen over $400,000 from the company over a period of time by attempting to manipulate the accounting system.
Breaux turned herself in to authorities on Wednesday and she was booked on a charge of Theft (over the amount of $400,000.00).
The investigation remains ongoing and further charges may be pending.
