The Breaux Bridge Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that took place on Wednesday, a spokesman says.
The incident took place at a residence off of Main Street in Breaux Bridge at approximately 1:45pm, the spokesman says.
A woman was found dead in the residence. No other details are being released at this time.
