April Fools' Day should have been a normal school day for most students in Acadiana.
But with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, schools remain closed until at least April 30.
The date and circumstances were perfect for one Breaux Bridge dad to play the ultimate April Fools' Day prank on his daughter.
Up at 6:00 am on April 1, Terry Louviere says he got his daughter Starla ready for school.
With uniform on and backpack ready, the two made the 20 minute drive to Parks Primary.
Louviere says the drive to school that day was "epic" and he made sure to video the prank.
Upon their arrival, Louviere breaks the news to Starla that school was closed and it was all an April Fools' Joke.
