Becket Breaux sworn in as sheriff of St. Martin Parish

New sheriff's office vehicles unveiled

Becket Breaux has been sworn in as sheriff of St. Martin Parish.

On Wednesday, Breaux, with his family by his side, was sworn in this morning by the Judge Anthony Thibodeaux.

The sheriff's office says that Breaux is looking forward to serving the residents of St. Martin Parish and is excited about working alongside his new team.

Newly designed St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office vehicles were also unveiled today, and will be utilized by the Patrol Division and the new Criminal Patrol Division. According to a release, the Criminal Patrol Division will proactively patrol throughout St. Martin Parish in an effort to curtail criminal activity.

"This is just the first of many positive changes that will be taking place within the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office over the next several months," a release states.
