A Eunice woman has been booked on an Obstruction of Justice charge in connection with a fatal Christmas morning shooting on Corn Street.
Police arrested 46-year-old Laura Ann Williams was arrested Friday, January 15, 2021 for her involvement homicide that occurred at her residence on Corn Street. She was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on a charge of Obstruction of Justice.

At 2:46 A.M. on Christmas Morning, Eunice Police Responded to a shooting in the 400 Block of Corn Street. Upon arrival officers found the victim, 41-year-old Tommy Williams of Ville Platte, in the front yard of the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fontenot says that Laura Ann and Tommy Williams were cousins.
Another person, 20-year-old Clifford Isaiah Campbell of Eunice was previously arrested in connection with the shooting. He was charged with Second Degree Murder.
In a previous release on the shooting, Fontenot released that the incident was the result of a domestic dispute.
Other arrests are forthcoming in this case, Fontenot says. The investigation is continuing.
