WASHINGTON, La. — Police in the town of Washington are investigating a deadly shooting.
The incident happened late Friday in the 400 block of Gordon Street, police say.
Two men were arguing and one shot the other with a shotgun. The victim was struck in the chest and died from his wounds, police say.
The identity of the victim has not been released yet pending notification of next of kin, police say.
KATC spoke with family members, sisters Charelle and Tisa Forbes, who identified the victim as their brother Quinten Forbes.
"He shot my brother with a shotgun, which is something
you don't shoot a human being with, you shoot animals with a shotgun," said Forbes. "My brother was brutally murdered
and left laying in the mud for over an hour before the paramedics got there."
The investigation is continuing, police say.
