A Washington man was killed and his wife injured in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on I-10 in West Baton Rouge Parish.
According to WBRZ, authorities responded to a crash on I-10 East at LA 415 around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Joseph Corso, 66, and his wife were stopped in traffic on the interstate when deputies say another vehicle slammed into the rear of their vehicle. Corso's vehicle was then pushed into two other vehicles ahead of them.
Corso was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife was airlifted to an area hospital in stable condition, authorities told WBRZ.
The driver that rear ended the vehicle was being driven by Jose Vindeola of Texas, who was passing through the area for a job search. Vindeola was charged with reckless operation.
