The US Postal Service says that final assessments are still pending on the Eunice Post Office after the building closed Monday over mold concerns.
A statement from the postal service says that no further details are available on the "facility-related issues."
The Postal Service did confirm that the facility's closure was due to the "possible presence of mold." The Eunice Post Office will remain temporarily suspended until officials are sure they can safely resume operations.
"The safety and well-being of postal customers and employees is a priority for the Postal Service," the statement reads.
