UPDATE: As of Sunday morning, the lines are now back up and working, officials say.
We reported that phone lines are down at the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Friday evening.
Officials at that time were asking the public to call 911 for a deputy if needed for the time being.
The Sheriff's Office will alert the public when the phone lines are back up.
