A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting and armed robbery on Sunday.
Deputies say the shooting occurred near Claude Street in Opelousas on March 8, 2020.
Deputies say they responded to the scene at 3:53 pm just off of Hwy 182 near Claude Street in Opelousas and located two people had been shot. Both were transported to a local hospital and are in stable conditions.
Detectives are continuing to interview additional suspects and more arrest are expected. No other information is being released at this time.
The juvenile is charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Illegal Use of Weapons.
