Organizers of the Sweet Dough Pie Festival in Grand Coteau announced on Tuesday that the festival has been canceled.
The announcement was made on the Festival's Facebook page.
The festival cites the weather forecast as the reason for the cancellation.
Vendors will be contacted about the cancellation beginning Tuesday, October 22.
Held at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Grand Coteau, the festival was scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 26 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The festival, besides offering a multitude of sweet dough pies, also hosted arts and crafts vendors, live music, and guided bus tours of the city and church.
There was no word on if the festival will be rescheduled to another date.
