With Mother's Day just two days away, the staff at a senior care center in St. Landry Parish is making sure their residents feel the love.
Gift baskets were delivered to moms with Mary Lee's House of Love on Friday.
The staff is also using this as an opportunity to remind people to check on their elderly loved ones.
"Don't forget about the most vulnerable population, right now they need us, they need our help," said Eugenia Washington,owner of Mary Lee;s House of Love. "They need to know they are loved, because some of them are feeling like there is no hope, so we as a community need to reach out to them let them know there is hope and we all still love them. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 10.
