The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office got an early Christmas present.
The SLPSO is receiving thousands from the Walmart Foundation.
For the past 10 years, the foundation has given money to buy toys for underprivileged children. The office also received a transpoder which picks up signals from downed aircraft.
"Without the foundation, a lot of community organizations would not receive funding," Sheriff Bobby Guidroz tells us. "This is a continuing partnership with the community, and they want to keep giving back."
