A very special birthday was celebrated on Tuesday in St. Landry Parish.

Pauline Taylor of Opelousas turned 101 years old, and while she couldn't have a big party because of the pandemic, local officials and businesses got together to help Taylor celebrate the milestone.

Charles Cravins, 27th Judicial District Attorney, was in attendance and said, "A beautiful celebration brings us out here today, and of course it's a modified celebration because of COVID. She is an absolutely wonderful lady and we wanted to come out here and celebrate her 101st year with her."

Happy birthday!
