Some school districts and private schools in Acadiana are closing early Monday, December 16, 2019, due to impending severe weather.
Acadia Parish:
All Acadia Parish schools will dismiss one hour earlier than their normal dismissal time. All after-school programs are canceled.

Evangeline Parish:
- Evangeline Parish public schools will dismiss schools at 12:00 pm.

Lafayette Parish:
- All Lafayette Parish schools will dismiss one hour earlier than their normal dismissal time. All after school events, including after-care programs, are canceled. If parents have any questions, they are urged to contact their child’s school directly.
- Lafayette Christian Academy will dismiss school early Monday. Schedule is as follows: Pre K - 2nd will dismiss at 1:15 pm. 3rd - 8th grade will dismiss at 1:30 pm. High school will dimiss at 1:40 pm.
- St. Cecelia in Broussard will close at 1:45 pm due to impending severe weather. There will be no after care.
- Carencro Catholic is closing at 2:15. All after school programs have been canceled.
- United Christian Academy will dismiss school at 2:30 pm

St. Landry Parish:
St. Landry Parish Public schools will dismiss early Monday, December 16, 2019, for the safety of the students, drivers, and employees, according to officials.
The dismissal schedule is as follows:
12:50 PM - Special programs to include MACA, OHS BIOMED, SLATS
1:00 PM - All Junior and High Schools in SLP
1: 15 PM - North Central High and Palmetto Elementary
1:30 PM - All Elementary Schools in SLP
Early and Head Start Centers
12:30 PM - Lawtell, Port Barre, Sunset / Grand Coteau
1:30 PM - all other Early and Head Start Centers
Leonville, Melville, Opelousas, Eunice, Lebeau, Washington
