A St. Landry Parish parent is hoping to help other parents ahead of the virtual start to their school year.
Linsey Kelly started the SLP Virtual Learning Parent-Teacher Support Team on Facebook. The group has already gained more than 2,000 members.
There, parents and teachers can receive technical, emotional, and motivational support during this time of transition.
"I hope it's bigger than what it is now when we're back in the actual school building, and that everybody still has the mentality that we have to do this together we still need to stick together and help each other," Kelly explained.
St. Landry Parish students will be heading back to school next month 100% virtually, board members decided last week.
