ST LANDRY PARISH — Spots are open for the next scheduled "Boys Only" Kops and Kids Camp.

Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz says that the next camp is scheduled for July 27 to July 28, 2019. The camp located in St. Landry Parish has sleeping accommodations and is chaperoned by full time law enforcement officers,

“The Kops & Kids outdoor activities program is designed to allow children to have an opportunity to experience outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing free of charge," Guidroz said.

According to the sheriff's office, the program is an effort to touch the lives of children between the ages of 9 and 13, the formative years, and create an atmosphere of trust between the youths and law enforcement.
