The St. Landry Parish School District says they will transition 5th-grade students to daily in-person learning on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
This group will be going to school five days a week. They will join 12th- grade students who were brought back to school this week on February 3.
Students in grades 6 through 11 will continue to follow the hybrid A/B schedule until further notice, according to the school system.
Officials say that any fifth-grade student currently enrolled in our St. Landry Parish Virtual Learning Academy (SLPVLA) that would like to return to face-to-face instruction should contact their school-based administrator by Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Any fifth-grade student who is currently hybrid and wishes to attend the SLPVLA should contact their school-based administrator by Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
"We will continue to work with health officials and our nursing department to monitor and evaluate current situations to determine the best modality of learning for our students. We continue to encourage our employees, students, and families to follow all safety mitigation procedures both at school and at home to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19."
